Meet the Team
In 2015, three Maryland terrapins had a vision to start a brewery in their home state. Since then, the vision has become a reality, and the team has grown. Meet the Crooked Crab Family:
Adam Osborn - Jedi (Brew) MasterCrooked Crab's Head Brewer Adam hails from the swamps of New Jersey by way of Central California, where he graduated from the UC Davis Master Brewers Program. He honed his craft across the Chesapeake Bay at another popular Maryland brewery before stepping into his current role at the Crab. When not brewing he can be found riding a skateboard, eating trail mix in the woods, or out cruising on his motorcycle.

Earl Holman - CCBC GMAn avid home brewer turned beer professional, Earl is the wearer of all hats Crooked Crab. A self professed beer geek, Earl has too many unique check ins on Untappd at the time of this update. Aside from being our GM, Earl's also our resident MG (master golfer), and QB for the Crooked Crab football team.

Dan Messeca - Beer Money ManagerDan's a smart guy and great with numbers, so he manages Crooked Crab's beer money. For the record, he is also a professional financial planner. When not crunching numbers, Dan loves playing guitar, running around with his dog Blueberry, and marrying people as an ordained minister.

Alex Josephs - Crustacean DirectorAlex has been a beer enthusiast since experiencing his first keg of "natty" at the University of Maryland. Thankfully his appreciation has evolved a bit since then. Alex is a digital strategy and website extraordinaire, and is responsible for the very page you're reading now! When not staring red-eyed at a computer screen, Alex is playing guitar with Dan, rock climbing, and vegetable gardening.

Taylor Palmer - Taproom ManagerFrom beertender extraordinaire to Taproom Manager, Taylor is the mastermind behind all things front of house. Taylor hails from the plains of Illinois, and when she's not busy slinging beers at the taproom, she can be found hiking, giving her doggy all the belly rubs, destroying everyone elses outputs on the Peloton, and reading Harry Potter.

Jake Cook - Lead BrewerJake, previously of Snake Farm drives a mean forklift, and brews a mean beer. Hailing from the always sunny Pittsburgh, when he's not savoring an IC Light he can be found working out or losing at fantasy football. Batman fanboy: 10/10. Photoshop skills: 6/10.

Leon - Professor Yum Yum

A professional hungry guy who has been scavenging the world in search of new and exciting flavors. Meditating from coast to coast, he finally unlocked his powers to turn the craziest of ideas into something delicious. He oversees everything edible that comes in and out of the kitchen. When he's not slinging pies, he could be found wandering the parking lot, spinning in circles and playing with his baby.

Super Brewer Steve - Super Brewer

Steve is the brewery dad of Crooked Crab. Steve does it all, from slinging suds in the taproom to brewing beers in the back. He's also good at lifting heavy things, just don't ask him to read small print! While not at the brewery, Steve can likely be found at various alternative rock concerts, cheering on the Ravens and Terps, or enjoying a beverage at the local dive.
